Please Pray

Hello,

My name is David. Jane's husband. Jane had told me how to get onto her account if ever I needed to, but I couldn't find the paper until this morning.

On Nov 15th Jane was is a serious car accident. She was blindsided by a pickup truck that had run a red light. Jane was the only one in the car, so none of our children were injured. However, Jane has been in a coma since then. The doctors believe that she has not had much brain damage, but also can't confirm that either. Please pray that Jane would wake up and that we would all know comfort of our God.

thank you,

David

Hi Again!

Hi Ladies,
Sorry for not writing. The dessert recommendations were fantastic! Made both. :)

The reason for not writing is that we needed to cut expenses in light of the job situation. We needed to stop having an internet connection at home (as least for a little while). I plan on going to the library once a week or so, with the intention of keeping the blog going and communicating with friends and family.

Still no job yet, but God is good. Having less is definitely not bad. We spend more time together and less time with things. And with the fewer distractions, my husband and I have also enjoyed more time to be intimate. :) Who would have thought getting laid off would lead to that.

It has been so great to read all your posts. Kids growing, anniversaries, new handmade clothes...

love to all,

Jane

The "Best"

As I have been going about my days since David lost his job I have had lots of thoughts of, and conversations with God. One of the first thoughts that came to mind is "God wants what is best for me". That is such a powerful and reassuring truth. During the week though, I have heard God teaching me more about this. He has been saying, "Yes Jane, I do want what is best for you. But your idea of best and my idea of best can be so different. You may think that your best involves security (finances, relationships....) in your life, but you need to think beyond that. Trust in Me Jane. There are many thousands of your brothers and sisters here on earth that love me but are struggling to survive. They have no earthly finances and they are surrounded by the death of family and friends. Jane, I do want your best, but trust me even if your life does not seem good or fulfilling by man's standards. The best I have for you is unexplainable. Just trust me, love me and love others." May I be able to truly trust Jesus. - Jane

Ah, tough times. But God is good.

A couple of years ago, my husband shared with me that he had accumulated credit card debt that I was not aware of. It created some marital strain, but we have worked together and grown together and have a better marriage now than ever. We have been paying down the debt faithfully. However, on Friday we learned that my husband's employer was laying off 50% of the workers. My husband was one of them. Please pray that we could find work, but more importantly, that we would continue to trust in Jesus. thanks - Jane.

Something New

I have just discovered the wonderful community that can be via the sharing of our lives. This is my attempt at sharing life with new friends.
